Lupe Fiasco - "Lasers" Album Cover Photo Shoot (Video)

LOSERS. LASERS. Coming March 8th. Run over to iTunes to get the iTunes pass for the album and get 4 songs already out. If they're puttin' out free download links out there, don't go to em. Purchase this man's stuff. It's gonna be epic. Ughhh. I hate that word "epic", but it's going to be. #KanYeshrug.

Download Buy: "Lasers"

Wiz Khalifa - "Roll Up" (Video)

More Wiz on the blog. Cassie must be down with the gang. But other than that I've said all I could really say about Rolling Papers, it's coming March 29th. See you there. Haha.

J. Cole - "Nothing Like It"

J. Cole doing his thing. I'm not sure if he made the beat or what, but this is a must download. For real. Classic J. Cole shit. We are super excited for this guy's project. Some of the upcoming albums by artists we dig, we think may be lame or whatever but J. Cole's album is going to be for sure HEAT! We can't wait. Enjoy.

Download: "Nothing Like It"

Wiz Khalifa's "Rolling Papers" (Artwork)

The second half to today's "Cheech and Chong" let loose of his album cover for his March 29th album, Rolling Papers. I know I'm excited as shit for March to finally roll around because I believe we have some crazy good music in store for us. So get ready to eat, breath, and live our blog in March.

DayToday Season 3 ep. 8 - Wiz Khaflia (Video)

A new DayToday from Wizzle man. Always like catching up with the Taylor Gang leader. He's NEVER gonna cut his hair. Haha. Yoo Wiz, see you April 16th boii.

Tyler, The Creator & OFWGKTA on MTV News

A day with OFWGKTA, something the KWT surely want to partake in. This video is classic. It really shows people sort of the mind frame these guys have, and that they are some gimmick punk rap group. They want to be "legends like KanYe". It's going to be interesting to see how far these guys go this year, and what the future holds for them. Oh and FREE EARL. Oh yea and 2dopeboyz, we blog better... We blog Golf Wang.

2.24.2011

Chip Tha Ripper - "Light One Up" (Video)

Chip Tha Ripper releases the first look into his March 1st project Gift Raps with the music video for this smoker's anthem. Track is produced by Chuck Inglish, as is the entire project that Chip will drop for free in a few days. So til then, light one up and check these trippy visuals to hold you over. Hit the jump for a preview flyer of Gift Raps.

Tyler, The Creator and OFWGKTA (Preview)

MTV hung with Tyler, The Creator and OFWGKTA. This is just a clip of the actual footage that is suppose to drop tomorrow. "...I'd rather do a f**king song with Drake." Haha classic. SWAG.

Natural Man Made Wave Machine

The title doesn't really make much sense but what else do you call this? This one is from Pharrell's blog. I love finding awesome things like this on there. Can't really describe it. SWAG.

Kanye Tweets Tyler, The Creator's "Yonkers"

It's official. We knew that Pusha T was talking with Tyler, but now that Kanye has mentioned him... wow.  Kanye says that Tyler's video for "Yonkers" is the video of 2011. Tyler is going to be going universal here pretty soon. This is just crazy. Although Kanye tweeted him he still wants his acknowledgements from Justin Bieber. Haha. Dude is crazy... ohhh and FREE EARL.

The Cool Kids - "Bundle Up"

Awww yeaaa. Some new music from The Cool Kids. Earlier in the week they stated that they would be releasing the much anticipated album When Fish Ride Bicycles. This is the first single from that album... enjoy.

XV - "Finally Home" (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)

Vizzy lets loose a dope single the day after being snubbed yet again by the dweebs at XXL. Featured on the track is Machine Gun Kelly, who we're not too familiar with. The Kid With The Green Backpack set to release this year, let's hope it comes sooner rather than later.

Download: "Finally Home"

Mac Miller - "She Said" (Prod. Khrysis)

In celebration of his being named to XXL's Freshmen roster (which is a joke other than Mac and a couple others), Mac Miller lets loose another single from Best Day Ever, which is set to drop on March 11. Definitely hyped for that one. Oh yeah, congrats, Mac, on being one of the few who actually deserved to be a Freshmen.

XXL 2011 Freshmen 11

I'm going to start off by saying that I don't support this roster and that it's a total joke. Hence the lack of a link. This is by far the WORST list I've seen on the internet, and that's pretty bad when it is the official one. It seems every blog has their personal take on who will make the freshmen roster each year, and honestly every one I came across was better than this. XXL usually doesn't do the best job with their freshmen picks, but this year was just awful. I haven't even heard of a few of these dudes. Big K.R.I.T., Kendrick Lamar, and Mac Miller were all deserving in my eyes, and I can understand Yelawolf, CyHi Da Prynce, and maybe even Diggy. But the rest are straight up lames. You can't tell me Dom Kennedy, XV, Pac Div, Chip Tha Ripper, a.k.a. all those dudes in OUR LIST don't beat "rappers" like Lil B, Lil Twist (huh?), Meek Millz (come again?), Fred The Godson (wtf, who?), and YG (again, who?). Pathetic. Well...that's my rant for the day. Please don't give XXL the pleasure of your view on their page, just stick to our roster, the right one.  SMH.

Lupe Fiasco - "Moment 4 Life" & "H·A·M" (Freestyles)

Lupe visited the Tim Westwood radio show a couple days ago, and after his interview he laid down these two freestyle gems. Of course, as always with Lupe, his freestyles are "no blackberry, no iPhone, no written." Lupe goes in in over Nicki Minaj's "Moment 4 Life" and Kanye and Jigga's "H·A·M," both of which, in my opinion, he outshines the original.

Songs In Real Life

A pretty funny way to put all the songs that will probably never make our blog into real life situations. Some are really funny. Enjoy.

KanYe West - "All Of The Lights" (Video)

KanYe lets loose of his visuals for "All Of The Lights" directed by Hype Williams. I liked the "Good Life" feel of the video at the start, but the rest is kinda iffy. My favorite part of both the song and the video is KiD CuDi. His "verse/chorus" thing is probably the best part of the song. So simple and sweet. The song is featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi with vocals by Fergie, Charlie Wilson, John Legend, Tony Williams, Alicia Keys, La Roux, The Dream, Ryan Leslie, Alvin Fields and Ken Lewis.

Curren$y - "Muscle Car Chronicles" (Artwork & Tracklist)

The hardest working man in hip hop is set to release Muscle Car Chronicles, his 3rd album in the last 7 months on March 15. Impressive. Not like his last 2 were weak by any means. Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk II still on constant play for the KWT. Peep the artwork below and hit the jump for the tracklist.

Wiz Khalifa - Cabin Fever (Mixtape)

Out of nowhere Wizzle lets loose of his Cabin Fever mixtape. I'm pretty excited about this, and wanna get to listening so this is a short post... haha peace.

Download: Cabin Fever

Odd Future - "Sandwitches" [Late Night with Jimmy Fallon]

SWAGGGGGG to the fullest. Odd Future's television premiere on LNJF, and they didn't disappoint at all. Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats linked up to perform their newly released single "Sandwitches," which was retardedly removed from iTunes after only a day of exposure. Is it weird, yes. Is it dope, DEFINITELY. Mos Def most def made an appearance on the show tonight just to witness this, I know it. Love how real these dudes are, they will never change, not for fame, money, anything. Hit that jump to see Jimmy and Tyler swaggin'. Huge things to come for OFWGKTA. Stay updated here at KWT.

Fashawn - "Higher Learning 2" (Mixtape)

As we stated yesterday, here's Fashawn's newest project, Higher Learning 2. Along with being a dope artist himself, he's snagged help from J. Cole, Common, John Legend, GLC, Gilbere Forte, and a few more. If you didn't know the 2010 Freshmen before this, you'll for sure hop on the bandwagon after giving HL2 a listen. Download below and tracklist after the jump.

Download: Higher Learning 2

Justin Bieber - "Runaway Love" (Remix) [feat. Kanye West & Raekwon]

NEVER SAY NEVER! That's what I say to those of you who said you'd never listen to the Biebz.  Or to those of you who thought we'd never post a Bieber tune. On the reals though, we all know this track wouldn't be posted here if Mr. West and Rae weren't involved. On the remix to the remix, they went from a smooth Wu-Tang sample to a synth-heavy club banger. Check it and tell us how you feel below.

2.15.2011

Fashawn - "Nothin' For The Radio" (feat. and produced by J. Cole)

Fashawn featuring J. Cole. Yeah we'll take some of that... Fashawn's Higher Learning II is droppin' tomorrow. You guys are gonna wanna cop this tape if you are 1. obviously a Fashawn fan, and 2. if your a big J. Cole fan. J. Cole appears on another track, and he's got a few others that he produced for the project. Awwww yea, you know we'll be all over that.

Hoodie Allen - "You Are Not A Robot" (Video)

Hooooooodie! The man's first music video for one of his most popular songs. The KWT saw him last weekend at the Red Lion in Champaign. It was an amazing show. The site wasn't really poppin' during the time he dropped his amazing mixtape Pep Rally, and some of you might not know much from him, but you need to download. Hit the link above or head to the right side of the blog.

Tyler, The Creator - "Yonkers" (Track & Video)

Odd Future founder Tyler, The Creator's first single from his upcoming April release Goblin, "Yonkers," is now on iTunes for ya'll to purchase. This is without a doubt some of not only his, but OF's best work yet, and we can't wait for Goblin. As he so elegantly puts it on the Odd Future blog, they've been giving you free music for 2 years now, drop $0.99 and support OFWGKTA. A few days ago he dropped the video for the single, which definitely follows OF's M.O: disturbing yet incredibly entertaining. The song on iTunes has a previously unheard third verse, so make sure you check the video after the jump and follow the link to iTunes and give a dollar for this track. It's definitely worth it.

Download Buy: "Yonkers"

Theophilus London - "Why Even Try" (feat. Sara Quin) [Late Show with David Letterman]

Theophilus London makes his television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman with this performance of "Why Even Try" from his new EP Lover's Holiday. Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara, who is featured on the track, performed alongside him. SWAG!

2.14.2011

J. Cole - "In The Morning" (feat. Drake) [Video]

J. Cole's visuals for "In The Morning" off his most recent mixtape Friday Night Lights. If you don't have that one yet, you had better get with it and cop it. It's to the right... You're welcome.

Fortune Family - "Lift Off" (feat. Hoodie Allen)

Gotta be honest here, not sure who Fortune Family is, but this track is definitely tight. Plus, anyone who runs with Hoodie is good in our book. This Philly duo just dropped their EP Paradox, so if you're diggin' this one (which we are) I recommend going and snaggin' that below. Of course, Hoodie Allen kills that second verse on this one, but as do Hobson and Reef, and we've got the single download below the artwork.

Download: "Paradox" EP

CurT@!n$ - "A Song For You"

CurT@!n$ let's go off this track, to remind those who haven't copped his mixtape #Killer to do so. Very smooth... Ohh and if you couldn't tell its been a slow weekend as far as good new music. But this is makin' so listen up, fools...

2.12.2011

Pusha T - "My God"

Pusha-T lets loose of his newest track off of his upcoming album Fear of God. If this is only a preview of what he has in store for us on this album than WOW... This is crazy good. Might be why Ye thought it was only right for him to be apart of G.O.O.D. Music. SupaDupaLT Update: Turns out G.O.O.D. Music associate, Consequence isn't too happy about the track. Run over to Twitter to see what Cons had to say about "My God."

KWT's 10 Freshmen for 2011

With XXL's 2011 Freshmen Class to be released soon, we here at KWT thought we'd do a little work ourselves and make our own list. Every year it seems we're disappointed in one or more of the MCs XXL chooses to represent their class, and we're sure it'll happen again this year. So, to make sure our favorite rappers get the credit they deserve, here are our 10 freshmen who are poised to take over in 2011. Keep in mind these are not our predictions for XXL's list, but rather KWT's choices. Hit the jump to see our list.

Shout out to Kid Jims on the artwork

Umm... "Crazy Ass Painting Stuff"

Saw this one from the Pharrell's BBC blog. Very neat stuff.

Chiddy Bang - "Rebel"

Chiddy Bang proving why they should have a spot on that 2011 Freshmen roster. This new track won't be featured on their next project The Swelly Life, which still has no release date. Xaphoon and Chiddy continue to stretch the hip hop genre with this dope sampled beat.

2.09.2011

XV - "F.I.F.A" (Video)

XV's one-shot music video for his song "F.I.F.A" (Feeling Internationally Famous Already). This song is not from his upcoming album The Kid With The Green Backpack though. The KWT's favorite video game, FIFA 10 also gets some looks. Ha...

Mac Miller - "Donald Trump"

Mac hit up UStream tonight to announce the release date of his second project Best Day Ever. After a bit of stalling, the dude finally announced that the mixtape would drop on March 11. He also announced that he'd let loose this joint, "Donald Trump," the first single from the upcoming tape. This track is just pure dopeness, and if it's any sign of what the rest of #BestDayEver (soon after his UStream sesh it became a trending topic on Twitter) is gonna sound like, I think we're in for a sophomore mixtape that outdoes his first, K.I.D.S., which is definitely saying something considering how it's still getting daily rounds on the iPod. Download below and check back early and often for more Mac Miller updates.

Download Update: Our new player at the bottom has the download link, so that is where our new download links will be. Thanks.

Hoodie Allen - "Heaven & Hell" (feat. Milk N' Cookies) [Mini-Tour]

Over the weekend the one and only Hoodie Allen will be going on a college mini-tour, making stops in WashU (StL), U of I (Champaign), and IU (Bloomington, IN). Everyone knows and loves Hoodie for supporting and loving his fans, and he comes through again with amazing ticket deals. $7 per person to enjoy the show, and just $20 per person to catch the show and a meet and greet with Steve Witz. KWT will be in attendance at the Champaign show, and we definitely recommend you do the same. Also featured will be Chicago/Champaign DJs Milk N' Cookies, who also put on a hell of a show, so there's even more of a reason to attend. Hit the jump for a personal invite from Hoodie himself.

Score tickets here: Heaven and Hell WHOMP sesh w/ Hoodie Allen and Milk N' Cookies

Terrace Martin - "Go Get It" (feat. Ty$, Wiz Khalifa & Neka B)

Young producer Terrace Martin has been on his Kanye grind for the past month or two, releasing a track every Tuesday and dubbing it #DeviTerraceTuesday. Not sure why we haven't been posting them, as they're definitely dope. For week 7, Terrace brings through Ty$ (heard him on a few Pac Div joints), Neka B (I dunno), and Wiz Khalifa, which is probably the only feature you care about. This sounds like some pre-"Black & Yellow" Wiz bars, which is definitely a good thing, and Ty$ always kills the chorus. We won't be passing on Terrace again, so expect to see him often here at KWT. Listen and download below.

Wale - "The Break Up Song" (Video)

Only days after officially signing with Ross' Maybach Music group, Wale lets loose this video for "The Break Up Song" off his More About Nothing mixtape. SupaDupaLT UPDATE: Wale just let loose of the full version of this video. Yes... That's Morgan Freeman narrating. Haha dope.

Theophilus London - "Lovers Holiday" - EP

Here is Theophilus's first project of 2011, a five track EP that again proves that he is one of a kind. Theophilus is set on releasing three albums this year, this, of course, being the first. The world is about to finally catch a glimpse of this dude, as he is slated to perform on David Letterman soon. Being an EP, we can't give you the free download, but we can shoot you over to the fine folks at iTunes. Support good music, buy this!

Download Buy: "Lovers Holiday"

Big Sean - "My Last" (feat. Chris Brown)

Big Sean and Chris Brown come in with the first single off of Big Sean's upcoming album Finally Famous: The Album coming in March.

Shad - "Keep Shining"

Some visuals for "Keep Shing" which is one of my favorite songs off of the Canadian's amazing album, TSOL. Definitely worth the purchase...

OFWGKTA on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Finally got LT onto these dudes hahah. Yeah they're weird, fucked up, a little odd...but you can't deny their skills. Plus they're entertaining as hell. Tune in to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on February 16 when Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats rep OFWGKTA. SWAG. Not quite sure what they're gonna perform...but it'll definitely be the edited version. Never thought I'd see the day The Roots would be on the same stage as Odd Future...I love it. FREE EARL!

Fly.Union - "Like That" (feat. Dom Kennedy) [Video]

Fly.U... well most importantly DOM KENNEDY! It took them long enough to drop this damn vid but its finally here. Look out for Fly Union's The Greater Than Club, March 1st. Enjoy.

2.02.2011

Pac Div - "Take Me High" x Mania! (Preview)

Another Pac Div join from Mania! here, still without a definite release date but expected to drop soon. Real smooth, soulful feel to this one, and from the looks of these single releases, Mania! is lookin' to be pure dopeness. Down below is also a preview video for the release of Mania!, which is just a shortened version of the music video for "Take Me High."

Download: "Take Me High"

Lupe Fiasco - "Words I Never Said"

Yeahhhhh....Lupe's second Lasers single right here, for listen only. Sorry, but we refuse to offer a download for this album after all it's been through. This is an amazing track, and it's sure to stir up some controversy, as it has political themes to it. Skylar Grey on the hook by the way. Absolutely cannot wait for Lasers...March 1st everybody. Only a month away...
