We've always loved this beat, as it was one of the most refreshing samples from Late Registration despite it clocking in at under two minutes. Nike SB Stefan Janoski Premium "Woodgrain"

Inspired by wood, the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Premium "Woodgrains" are among Nike's group of sneakers to be released this June. There are literally dozens of colorways of these "Twaan's greatest hits" kicks, but, for some reason, I still have yet to snag a pair. Though the original blues definitely have done it for me ever since the first release way back when, this is probably the most fresh colorway I've seen for the Stefans. Good luck getting your hands on these though, as there are very limited quantities and are only available at exclusive boutiques. Sad face. 

Blu x David Ellis - Collaborative Animation

Not much to say about this other than wow. Just awesome. Artists Blu (not the rapper we've posted on here) and David Ellis collaborate to make this street animation. So creative, we love it.

Los Angeles Unified Sound District - "Ignite" (feat. Thurz, Y-O & Vida Jafari)

*Oh face* ...this beat goes hard. L.A.U.S.D. links up with a rather unknown singer and the artists formerly known as U-N-I for this head nodder. This one's from Polyester and L4zy Lou's (who together are L.A.U.S.D.) upcoming compilation project Board of Production. All of their tracks go, and I'm pumped to hear even more of what The New West has to offer when this tape hits the deck. Sidebar: wondering why Thurz and Y-O aren't listed as U-N-I? In disappointing news, U-N-I have officially separated, deciding to work on their solo careers. Sad, sad, sad.

A lot of people, including ourselves, are new to the young rapper (15), Jack Mushroom. The first thing we obviously noticed since we are huge Odd Future fans is that he rep'ed the gang hard. So the investigation begun.

We got into contact with the artist and he told us to ask some of the Odd Future members. Easier said than done. Haha. We realize that there are many Odd Future members. Not just the main ones. Bulls vs. Heat, NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 2

Game 2 of the Bulls vs. Heat Eastern Conference Finals series begins tonight at 7:30CT. Hope you all will be tuning in just as the KWT will be. LET'S GO BULLS, and expect updates from us throughout the game and a final update once the game is over, with highlights from the contest. But for now, enjoy THE poster of THE posterization of the playoffs. I need me one of these for my bedroom wall. Mark Twaan update: Heat 85, Bulls 75, damn. A close game throughout ends with a LeBron James takeover after a fairly slow game for the so-called King. Series is now even at one as it heads back to Miami for game 3 on Sunday at 7:30CT as well. Not super excited about the outcome, so I'm not about to go lookup highlights for the game. Let's hope we can take at least one away from the Heat in Miami to at least even up the series. 

Laws & Paul McCartney - "Dear Boy"

If I'm correct this is our first Laws post, which is pretty sad and pathetic, but anyway, life goes on, expect more of him here in the near future. This joint is the first release from Laws' upcoming LRG hosted mixtape entitled Yesterday's Future, which is set to drop May 24th. The project will feature 13 Paul McCartney tracks, remixed by a number of producers, allowing the dude Laws to spit freely over these smooth beats. This is the first I'm hearing of this project, but needless to say, we're pretty hyped for it.

Earl Sweatshirt's Email Interview with New Yorker

After Complex kicked off the search for Earl Sweatshirt by finding him in Samoa, The New Yorker digs deeper into the long lost OFWGKTA rapper's thoughts and feelings with an email interview courtesy of the woman taking all the heat for Earl being overseas, his mother. Earl's mums emailed Thebe questions, he emailed her back his responses, and she sent the mag the conversation, which can be seen in the latest issue. She also submitted a statement to New Yorker, saying, "There is a person named Thebe who preexisted Earl. That person ought to be allowed to explore and grow, and it's very hard to do that when there's a whole set of expectations, narratives, and stories that are attached to him." Twaan Update: According to Samoan Academy alumnus and friend of Thebe during their time in Samoa Tyler Craven, this interview is entirely a hoax. Saying that the counselors definitely influenced and perhaps even changed his answers, Craven has a four page interview with our buddies at Complex explaining everything from the lifestyle of the academy to a possible timeline for Earl's return. Yet another video from Pusha T from his latest dope project, Fear Of God. His follow-up to this mixtape, Fear Of God 2: Let Us Pray, drops June 21st along with fellow G.O.O.D. Musician Big Sean's Finally Famous: The Album and will feature many of the same songs as FoG along with a few added bonus tracks.

Tyler, The Creator: "Little Goblins" Promotes Goblin

Tyler stars in yet another strangely hilarious promotion video for his recently released album Goblin, which both SupaDupa and I have copped. Also starring is the midget who impersonated Tyler at MTV's Woodie Awards and three of his buddies. 

Eastern Conference Finals: Bulls vs. Heat, Game 1

After eliminating the Hawks in 6 games a few nights ago, the Bulls move on to the Eastern Conference Finals to square off against the Miami Heat, where tonight marks game 1 of the series. After sweeping the Heat in the regular season series, I'm hoping our Bulls won't have any trouble against GayBron and company, but I have a feeling it being the playoffs will spice things up a bit. Well, I'm off to watch the game via tnt.tv's weird coverage seeing as though my apartment has no cable. Expect an update soon with a final score, (hopefully being a Bulls W) and a highlight or two. Lezz do it. Mark Twaan update: Bulls 103, Heat 82, domination. After a close game throughout halfway into the 3rd quarter, the Bulls pull away and go on to stun the Heat in the series opener. DRose led the way for Chicago with 28 points, Luol Deng came through with 21, but Taj Gibson stole the show with two SICK dunks, one of which put Dwyane Wade on a poster and is featured below, and the other putback slam can be seen after the jump. Expect updates for each game throughout the Bulls' run to the Finals. 

KWT Taking (and Posting) Music Submissions

It's apparent that some artists are aware that we here at Kids Wasting Time are open for business when it comes to music submissions through email, but I'm not convinced that all of our viewers are aware of this option of contacting us. Such artists as Space Academy, Azad Right, Lerix, Jimmy Astro, daZe, Trizz and more have taken advantage of the KWT email, submitted some music, and received a post or multiple posts on our blog. We're very satisfied with the amount of emails we're receiving from up and coming artists, but we're hoping for even more. Hopefully this post will open others' eyes up to this opportunity, as we would love to feature you on our blog. Frank Ocean performs one of my favorite songs from his mixtape Nostalgia, ULTRA. Pick it up if you haven't yet. It's pure dopeness. I've always liked sort of R&B singers so since OF has one of the dopest out right now I've been all over it and you should too.

Lerix - "Do Right" (feat. Rickie Jacobs)

Brooklyn's own Lerix hit us up again to announce his release of the second single from his upcoming EP, Audio Arcade. "Do Right"also features Baltimore emcee Rickie Jacobs. Air Jordan 5 "Wolf Grey" Releases Today

I know we don't normally post sneakers on here, but these kicks are just too fresh to pass up. Releasing today, this colorway of the classic Air Jordan 5 sneaker is the second AJ5 colorway to drop this year after the "Premios" came out a while back. $150 can snag you a pair, but finding somewhere where they're not sold out or where there's not lines through the parking lot consisting of hipters dressed up as Michael Jordan will be the problem.

Kyle Rapps - "Rapps 101" (feat. U-N-I)

Here's a joint from a couple of artists who our readers probably aren't too familiar with, which is a good thing, right? We don't know much about Kyle Rapps, but we do know of U-N-I, who are right up there with Pac Div, Dom Kennedy, and Kendrick Lamar as dope representers of The New West. We've posted a few tracks featuring the Cali duo consisting of YO and Thurzday in the past, but hopefully you'll be seeing more of them on KWT. We can only hope so. Anyway, we love the smooth production laced with bars on bars on bars on this single from Kyle's latest EP Re-Edutainment, which you can snag in its entirety below over at iTunes.

Kanye West - Live At Coachella 2011 (Mixtape)

Complex did all us Kanye lovers a solid and compiled a mixtape of Ye's Coachella live performance. That album cover is too dope, such a sick picture. The video for Yeezy's entire performance is set to drop soon, so pair that with this and you might not feel so bad for missing the show. Ehhh, I still am a bit salty about still never witnessing a Kanye set in person.

A new in studio music video for the group's track, "Rollin" off Don't Mention It. This was shot when 3 Little Digs were in the building for Pac Div's latest interview. Wait really!? Is LT gettin' first dibs on this Pac Div post?! That never happens. I've always liked Pac Div, but never loved them like Twaan does. As of late they are damn near the only thing I'm playin'. I'm starting to become a true #knucklehead.
