...Of The Week: June 18th to 24th

...Of The Week is CB40's look back at what happened in the NBA in the past week, including the best dunk, statline, clutch play, and blunder of the week.

Hit the jump to see what happened in the 2012 NBA Finals, as the season came to an end...

As the shortened NBA-season came to an end, the athletic Thunder and Heat continued to rattle the rim in Games 4 and 5 of their entertaining series. Shout outs this week go to Russell Westbrook, who had a huge putback in the Thunder's Game 4 loss, and to Kevin Durant, who had a nice spin and slam finish in Game 5. But, that was not Kevin Durant's best dunk of the week, as he threw down a monstrous jam  in Game 5, as he drove baseline past Shane Battier, and cocked it back.

Some great performances by players on both teams, including huge contributions from Mike Miller and Mario Chalmers on the Heat. The honourable mention this week go to Russell Westbrook, who scored 43 points on a ridiculous 20 of 32 shooting, to go along with 7 boards and 5 assists. That seems insane to not be the statline of the week, but a guy named LeBron James had a triple-double in the close-out  game of his first championship, with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 boards, with 2 blocks. Kinda clutch if you ask me.

LeBron had a huge statistically clutch Game 5 vs. the Thunder, and Mike Miller also had an extremely gutsy performance, hitting 7 threes while walking like an arthritic geriatric. But, LeBron, while cramping up, whether embellished or not, hit THE BIGGEST SHOT OF HIS CAREER, in Game 6, as he drained a three to put Miami up by three points.

Although Russell Westbrook had an idiotic foul on Mario Chalmers that cost the Thunder a chance at tying the game, he did not do the most embarrassing thing of the week. That honour goes to Chris Bosh, for his post-game, porn-like champagne celebration that just looked plain gross. I wouldn't expect anything less from Bosh though, the king of NBA memes. Whaddayadoin Bosh!
