K.R.I.T. has won over many fans with his trunk-bangin, yet lyrically thoughtful songs, and his great, free mixtapes. The Meridian, Mississippi-Native drops some basketball intellect in some of his songs, but is not a huge basketball referencer. That being said, he will still be one of my favourite artists, as long as he continues to drop good music with his signature Southern twang.
Hit the jump to find out what song the line is from, what the line is, and what it means...
"Gotta fight to the death for my family
M.J. baseline they can't handle me
Slam dunk hang time like a canopy."
K.R.I.T. first says that he will fight to his death for his family, pretty self-explanatory, and then says that his haters and non-believers can't handle him, like Michael Jordan when he famously faked out John Starks, and crammed hard on Patrick Ewing. K.R.I.T. then describes Jordan's dunk, recognizing the impressive hangtime that Jordan had.
