Ballin' Line of the Week: Rick Ross

Rick Ross has been on the rise, enough to nab him the 2012 MTV "Hottest MC in the Game," and he recently released Self Made: Volume 2 with his label, Maybach Music Group. Rick Ross has brought Miami rap to new heights, and he drops some basketball knowledge on his newest MMG record.

Hit the jump to see what song the line is from, what it is, and what it means...

"You niggas Spud Webb, comin’ up short / Think you’re Dee Brown, jump if you want"

From the song "Power Circle," Rick says that everyone else does not compare to him, they come up short. This is a reference to the NBA player Spud Webb, who measured only 5 feet 7 inches, but won the Dunk Contest in 1986. Ross then says that anyone can jump him, but that might not be the best idea. They might jump him like Dee Brown did in his only relevant moment as a player, with his famous no-look dunk.
