Rick Ross - "3 Kings" (feat. Dr. Dre & Jay-Z) [Video]
Rozay celebrates the release of God Forgives, I Don't with the official visual for one of the LP's best and most star studded joints, "3 Kings." It doesn't look like there was any sort of video shoot for this one, though, as directors DRE Films and Jon J chopped up previous footage of Dre, Ross, and Jay's careers, streaming it effortlessly over the huge collabo. Following "Jay-Z Interview", Hit Boy is out here doin' it. With a Kanye-like story HB is already proving he deserves more looks than Cyhi Da Prince. I mean come on, you all saw the Complex cover. Cyhi took another "L" with not even making the cut. One more thing... Spoiler alert. Cudder rapping.

Our apologies to the dude Steve Cantrell for missing the first three episodes, but at least we caught on early, right? For this week's vlog series entitled #TodaysDopeness, Freedom Fighter Steve Cantrell takes us to ATL's SCMC Music Conference where he performs a few joints. Dopeness, indeed.
Big K.R.I.T. - "What U Mean" (feat. Ludacris) [Video]
Krizzle and Luda's "Country Sh*t" was such a success that the two Dirty South representatives had to get together for another one. "What U Mean" was the result of their second collaboration, with it landing on K.R.I.T.'s recently dropped debut LP Live From The Underground. Today, the southern duo let loose of the simple, black and white visual for one of LFTU's harder hitting tracks. Watch it below courtesy of KWT.

Jay Electronica Unveils Act II Tracklisting
Get a little excited, but keep it to a minimum. As we continue to scratch each update off the Act II checklist (completion, artwork, Hov's obsession), it seems as though we're very close to receiving Jay Elect's mysterious, oft-delayed Roc Nation debut LP. But, prior to today's update, that wasn't the blogosphere consensus, as many believe Act II has a slimmer chance of dropping than a punter being drafted in the third round (oh, wait...).
Today, however, via his rarely used Twitter account, Jay Electronica tweeted a screenshot of the album's tracklisting, giving his loyal fans a reason to finally be hopeful that Act II is indeed coming. Complete with features from Jigga, Yeezy, Diddy, and even Ronny Reagan, it looks as though Act II, just as we all could have guessed, if ever released, will be an instant classic. Tracklist down bottom.

Ballin' Line of the Week: Childish Gambino
Donald Glover: actor, comedian, producer, and rapper. The "Community" star has branched his talents into the rap world, from his first mixtape release in 2010 to his debut album Camp. Armed with a writing degree and a rapping name from a Wu-Tang name-generator, Gambino drops some sick rhymes, including this basketball reference..

J. Cole - "The Cure"
Oh Cole, how we've missed you. Just one night after he took to open mic night to explain the idea behind his hiatus, Jermaine lets loose of new music for the first time in months. Over a mellow, "Lift Off" sampled background, J. Cole goes off for four straight minutes, leaving us with a long list of quotables. Is one release the momentum he needed to flood the web with news, tracks, and vids? We can only hope.
Hats off the the AC³ fam for the linkage.

Shawn Chrystopher - lovestory. (Mixtape)
Shawn Chrys has been on the scene for a while now. Another one of the young guns from Cali's new school of rappers, Shawn Chrystopher is a big deal. His last masterpiece Silent Films for the Blind did not disappoint and Love Story doesn't either. With features from some big names like Chi-Town's GLC and another new school Californian, Dom Kennedy, Shawn's newest projects is one to listen to.

Rick Ross - "Sixteen" (feat. André 3000)
Honestly, it may be a "sin to rap," that I've never really been the biggest Ricky Rozay fan BUT, André 3K kills this track with his verse. 3 Stacks has always been known for his somewhat "different" delivery and that really comes through in his verse in "Sixteen." Check out André's dope verse below.
Sir Michael Rocks - "Can't Hide It" (feat. Rockie Fresh)
The knighted side of The Cool Kids releases another banger. Sir Mike released this track featuring the newly signed MMG artist and Chicago native Rockie Fresh, and boy does it bang.

J. Cole Previews "Chaining Day" at Open Mic Night
It's been a cold summer for J. Cole, who's not been heard since his debut LP dropped in September of 2011. Last night, though, Cole dropped by an old classmate's venue on open mic night to kick his newest verse acapella for the onlooking fans.
Jermaine might have been quiet throughout his hiatus, but this proves he hasn't been lazy. New material from the Prince of Roc Nation coming soon.

SonReal - Good News (Mixtape)
I heard this kid a while back and was really impressed. Enough that when his newest project Good News came out, it was good news for me and I dedicated a good amount of time to listening to it. SonReal, one of the up-n-comers out of Canada, Vancouver to be exact, is no stranger to the scene. Good News features a couple of commonplaces in the blogs such as Emilio Rojas, (one of my favorites) JD Era, Rapper Big Pooh and Saigon.

Features: OFWGKTA's Place as Hip Hop's Greatest Group
A bold statement? Yes. An incorrect one? Not necessarily. While we at KWT don't necessarily agree with what the guest author is saying, we love starting controversy and discussion, which is exactly what an article like this will achieve. Allow KWT to pass the baton to the homie Morthland while he attempts to persuade you on the lasting imprint that the OF collective could leave on hip hop for years to come. Haters, as always, hit the comments section.
Article by Michael Morthland (@mmorthland)
As i sit here on l plane back from Florida listening to the new Odd Future album entitled The OF Tape Vol. 2, I wonder where the group that includes some of the most interesting nicknames since RZA, ODB, Q-Tip, and Raekwon, will land after the dust settles on the list of hip-hop's greatest groups. Granted, not to get too far ahead of myself since this list includes such classic names as Black Star, NWA, A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, and the all time greatest Wu-Tang Clan. However, we are two albums, multiple mixtapes, and a psuedo-compilation album into OF's career that is less than 10 years old, and looks as if they have surpassed everything that has come before them. If you want speculation as to how OF made it to the top of the hip hop world, read KWT's article a few months ago, but whatever the reason may be, it seems as though OF is here to stay.
2 Chainz - "Birthday Song" (feat. Kanye West)

Talib Kweli - "Push Thru" (feat. Kendrick Lamar & Curren$y)
This is the type of lineup true hip hop fans wait for. The kind that only show up on albums, once a year, if that. Who better to grab a eye-catching feature or two than the oft-forgotten Talib Kweli, who garners much more respect and attention than he actually receives. I'm reaching here, but hopefully "Push Thru," which has been in the vault for years now, results in some much deserved shine upon Talib and his underground talents, as dude has silently been doing his thing for longer than you were a hip hop fan. Prisoner of Conscious is set to release in October, with this single hopefully pushing the project through the underground barrier and into peoples' collections.

Nas - Life Is Good (Album)
After a few single releases and music videos, Nasir's highly sought after tenth studio album is finally here. With help from Rick Ross, Amy Winehouse, Swizz Beatz and much more, Life Is Good means Nas is back, and definitely a surefire contender for a hip hop grammy. In other news, I hate midnight releases. Now I'm gonna have to shell out twice the change for a digital copy tonight as well as the physical in the morning. For a dude like Nas, though....worth every penny.

Pac Div - GMB (Artwork/Release Date)
It's been a minute since the LA trio given the masses a project, but today the group's own Mibbs took to Twitter to announce that would change soon. Big Mibbs unveiled that he, Like, and BeYoung are currently working on two projects, both GMB and SFF2, with the former hitting October 16th and the latter between now and then.
GMB, which will be The Div's second retail project following last year's The Div, stands for Gabe, Michael, Brian, which are the legal names of Like, Mibbs, and BeYoung, respectively. SFF2 is, of course, the second installment of the group's Sealed For Freshness mixtape series, of which the original SFF was the trio's first project. As KWT's resident #Knucklehead, I'm obviously hyped for two new Pac Div projects in 2012. Dopeness.

If any other artist pulled this, we'd be mildly surprised, but with the Jet Life Sultan, you can never be sure when he'll pull out a new one. This time around, Spitta Andretti tosses the reins to the everywhere-lately Harry Fraud, who handles all of the production for this five track portfolio while frequent Jet Lifers Smoke DZA and Styles P stop by to contribute.

It is a nice time full of excitement before the news dulls in the hot days of summer. Signings cannot become official until July 11th, but the news is exciting nonetheless. Deron Williams' signing was big to some...but James White signing with the Knicks was just as exciting to me. One of the best dunkers ever, James WHite got drafted, spent some time in the league, some in Europe, and got signed back to the League. I'm just looking forward to Gerald Green's Nets vs. James White's Knicks.

David Dallas - "Pay Off" (Video)
As of late, New Zealand's own David Dallas has been hard at work on his current project Falling Into Place. A few weeks ago, Dallas unleashed "Pay Off," an infectious, indie-sampling first single to the forthcoming album. Today, he and director Tom Gould teamed up to let loose of the joint's visual.
DDot may be overlooked now, but both he and KWT are sure his hard work'll pay off soon.

Childish Gambino - Royalty (Mixtape)
It has been amazing to watch Donald grow as a rapper and lyricist. This growth is displayed in an amazing way on his most recent project Royalty. With features from big names like Nipsey Hussel, Ab-Soul, Chance the Rapper, RZA, Ghostface Killah and many many more, it is obvious Childish Gambino has made it in the game.

Theophilus London - Rose Island, Vol. 1 (Mixtape)
Big Boi, A$AP Rocky, and Sade join Theophilus on the New York talent's latest release, Rose Island, Vol. 1. It seems as though London is more of a mixtape artist than a retail one, as his freeleases always stand out much more than his EPs or LPs. Needless to say, we excited.

Ballin' Line of the Week: Big K.R.I.T.
K.R.I.T. has won over many fans with his trunk-bangin, yet lyrically thoughtful songs, and his great, free mixtapes. The Meridian, Mississippi-Native drops some basketball intellect in some of his songs, but is not a huge basketball referencer. That being said, he will still be one of my favourite artists, as long as he continues to drop good music with his signature Southern twang.

Kanye West x Pusha T - "New God Flow"
Kanye and his G.O.O.D. roster continue their onslaught of hip hop music by suddenly releasing the highly anticipated "New God Flow," which features both Ye and Pushaton. Just as "Mercy" is starting to get hot on the airwaves, a new banger is let loose, ensuring that Yeezy and co. will dominate playlists up until the compilation's release. Hopefully radio will drool over this new single like they have for the first, as Pusha really deserves some exposure for what he's been on lately. Dude might have the best bars on his label, and yes, I'm looking at you Kanye.

Tonight marked the annual BET Awards, and although many hip hop artists were called upon to perform at the ceremony, this is the only one that really caught our eye. Watch on as Kanye, Pusha, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz perform "Mercy," before Ye takes it solo dolo with "Cold" and an unheard, acapella verse that he will debut on his and Pusha's forthcoming single, "New God Flow."
