David Dallas - Buffalo Man (EP)

Produced entirely by Fire & Ice and inspired by British band Jamiroquai, NZ rapper David Dallas keeps his promise and drops off a brand new six track EP entitled Buffalo Man. Follow the link for the free project and check the tracklist down bottom. It's getting to the point that anything this dude drops is a must have, so don't be that dude...give DDot a shot.

Russ - "Vacation" (prod. Russ)

After the incredibly dope 5812, DIEMON's own Russ is back on his grind again. Currently working on his next project, Vacation, the producer rapper unleashed the project's title track and first release. Bars by Russ, beat by Russ, cause all these other rappers gettin' beat by Russ. #ICanRapToo.

Wiz Khalifa - ONIFC (Tracklist)

Apparently Wiz didn't think a single leak was good enough for yesterday, as he and the T.G.O.D. crew let loose of ONIFC's tracklist soon after dropping The Weeknd assisted "Remember You."

Although the sophomore LP won't hit until December 4th, hit the jump to check into exactly what Only N*gga In First Class will entail.

Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor II (Album)

After squashing the label issues that made him, and many of his fans, hate Lasers, Lupe is back to making that good good. After releasing a slew of singles and visuals, my dark horse for album of the year is finally here. Head down low to cop the second installment of Food & Liquor and the first of The Great American Rap Album.

Best Teams to Watch: 2012-13 NBA season

As an obsessive NBA fan, I watch A LOT of basketball throughout the year. It distracts me from studying, but is also helps me cheer up, and get away from the real world. That being said, I recently purchased NBA League Pass, where I can watch every team's every game, including the playoffs.

So, I decided to give my fellow hoopheads a top 6 teams to watch list, it's six just because i felt like it. This is not a list of the league's six best teams, but the ones who I'll probably be watching the most...

The 2 Of Diamonds - "Boasting"

Myke and Dee promised us a handful of releases, and here we have the second of the last few days in "Boasting," which will live on Jackin' For Fans 2 as its second single. J4F2 drops in the near future, but not until a few more joints are released from the Chi-City twosome.

Freddie Gibbs - "Tell A Friend" (feat. Curren$y)

The "Scottie Pippen" brethren link up again, this time for a heater from Gangsta Gibbs' Baby Face Killa, which is set to hit the web tomorrow. These two go so well together, spitting effortlessly over a helluva beat from DJ Izzo and Matterafact. Forget about that Andretti and Wiz tape, we need somethin' from Gibbs and Spitta ASAP.

Wiz Khalifa - "Remember You" (feat. The Weeknd)

Wiz grabs Abel for single numero dos from ONIFC, his sophomore LP that's now pushed back for a December 4th release. As one would expect, "Remember You" has deep R&B roots, with everything a single needs to burn up the radio. Although this one's miles ahead of first single "Work Hard, Play Hard," the mainstreamity (thanks, Webster's) will lose some OG Wiz fans all while gaining him millions of new ones.

Regardless, the ladies will eat this one up, so if you're lookin' to get it in (ayo), add this one to your playlists immediately. Hit the jump for the track stream.

GhostWridah - "Stay" (Freestyle)

Miami's own GhostWridah keeps 'em coming with a new one over the dopest track from CyHi's Nasir's latest project. Ghost continues to push the envelope, going head to head with hip hop kings over their own instrumentals.

LEAKED!! DJ Khaled - "Vote 2012" (feat. Kanye West, Drake, 2 Chainz, Wale, Future & Jay-Z)

This can't be life. KWT, through a secret insider, has received exclusive access to a leaked song with a roster that is absolutely bananas. We're talking Yeezy, Drizzy, Tity Boi, Wale Folarin, Future and Hov!  Commend these guys for standing up and using their influential status for a positive cause. We don't see that a lot these days.

There's no indication as-of-yet as to where the song will end up - maybe it's from WTT 2, maybe DJ Khaled's next shit show compilation, or maybe it's an unreleased record from Cruel Summer. Who knows, who fucking cares. Though we can't provide audio due to the legal implications, I've copied out the lyrics down below.

Action Bronson - "It's Me" (prod. Party Supplies)

Out of nowhere Bam Bam and Party Supplies let loose of this quick-strike track via Bronsollini's twitter. Brace yourself, as it's not your typical hip hop joint, not that that's a bad thing.

Jay-Z Gives J. Cole the Cold Shoulder for the Same Reason CyHi is Feeling the Hate

The first time you heard CyHi The Prynce was probably on "So Appalled", back in 2010, and the next time was a few days ago on Cruel Summer. Maybe you caught his Rosewood-clad freestyle on the BET Cypher. Perhaps you heard him on "Ray Ban Vision", or "100 Bottles". Even less likely, you copped one of his mixtapes. It doesn't really matter. There's a reason his opening salvos have now traveled the spectrum from very bold and attention grabbing ("I'm so outrageous") to frank and a little defeated ("I hope the people is listening"). His G.O.O.D Friday introductory verse and his appearances on Cruel Summer are the only two touchstones of Cydel Young's career, and both of them were handed down to him from El Jefe. That's not exactly the sign of a healthy career. Further, for a guy like Kanye, whose considered by many (including KWT, huuuh) to be something of a visionary, the handling of CyHi's career has been rather old-fashioned.

There was a time when an artist could simply unveil his latest protege to the masses, and watch the money pile-up. It was a simpler time, when fans looked to MTV and magazines to find out what was hot. That was before the Internet, before the floodgates opened and the rap game got democratized. Before your new favorite artist was one click away on some obscure Tumblr or in some barely noticed Youtube video. Choice has never been more firmly planted in the hands of the audience. In the same way "Lil Young Ca$hGrinder, The Prophet" can upload a catchy track and end up trending on Twitter, a major label-affiliated rapper, who's being banked on to provide millions to his Jewish overlords, can get lost in the shuffle.

The 2 Of Diamonds - "Prollie"

While Chicago hip hop duo The 2 Of Diamonds is hard at work on Jackin' For Fans 2, a follow-up to last year's project of the same name, Dee Rush and Myke Boogie let loose of the forthcoming tape's first single in "Prollie." With a beat by their in-house production team, "Prollie" is the first of many single releases that will hit prior to the eventual drop of J4F2.

Rockie Fresh - "You A Lie" (Remix) [feat. Rick Ross]

Looks like Chicago young gun Rockie Fresh is already reaping the benefits of the Rozay signing, as BET recently premiered his and the MMG bawse's newest visual on 106 & Park. The video also marks a new endeavor for Rockie, who is now hard at work on his first project as a MMG member. Expect Electric Highway to drop in the coming months.

It'll be interesting to see how Ross and co. use Rockie as the newest member of the Maybach Empire, especially when it comes to the roster's infamous posse cuts and compilation projects.

David Dallas - "Ever Get The Feeling" (Video)

David Dallas returns home to New Zealand's beautiful Mount Ruapehu for the visual shoot to his newly released single/video "Ever Get The Feeling." The track acts as the first single to his upcoming Buffalo Man project, which will be available online September 26th.

With DDot's already awesome(ly overlooked) discography, I'm fully expecting Buffalo Man to be low-key one of the best projects of the year.

Meek Mill - "Young and Getting It" (feat. Kirko Bangz)

With Drizzy-lite on the hook, and vocal effects T-Pain would approve of, Meek Mill delivers the lead single off of Dreams and Nightmares, scheduled for an October 30th release. Click play, and consider that this is going one of two ways: on the radio or bonus track status.

Here's hoping Meeky's debut isn't mired by further pushbacks.

Rick Ross - "Hold Me Back" (Nigeria Version)

You can't deny the hustle, or these visuals.

I'm hoping the internuts comes through with some backstory/context for what's seen, sooner rather than later.

G.O.O.D Music Freestyle with Funkmaster Flex

Cruel Summer is in this bitch, so the G.O.O.D rapsters headed to Funk's house and did their thing. DID. THEIR. THING. Sean goes bananas (talks about his Dad, J.Cole, Drake & more), CyHi draws genuine laughter, and Com goes off the top. Push is just there for the reactions, and that's okay. Your next Facebook status/Tweet is awaiting you below.

This clique's got the spotlight, and that won't be changing anytime soon.

Frank Ocean, John Mayer Perform at SNL (Video)

Frankie O continues to score national television looks, as he was the musical guest on last night's season premiere of Saturday Night Live less than two weeks after his VMAs performance. This time, the OF sensation spiced things up a bit, tapping John Mayer's slowhand skills for "Thinking About You" and "Pyramids." Mr. Ocean is one of those artists that sounds even better live.

Ballin' Line of The Week: Bun B

Bun B has been a Southern mainstay for nearly twenty years, beginning with Pimp C in their group, UGK, and has been continuing his solo career after Pimp C's death. From his 5-mic rated album, Trill OG, Bun drops a sick line referencing a team from his home state of Texas.

Cruel Summer Leaks, Yeezy Delivers

*Three things to consider before I begin!* One, this is NOT a review. If you review something after hearing it a couple times, you should take shotgun bullets to the face. That is NOT a sexual innuendo. These are merely initial thoughts, a simple weighing-in by moi, on the part of KWT. Two, I feel mildly bad about listening to this a week before it's to be released. Name all major albums that received retail releases in the past few years, and I guarantee I purchased them when they came out and then, and ONLY then, listened to them. To support the artist, and because I love having the album in my hand and all that shit. Three, if the US Government is reading this, I did NOT participate in any illegal downloading. Malik sent me a copy. He's always leaking shit.

Now that that shit is out of the way, let me assure you that the Based Yeezus delivers. It's shitty that so much of the conversation and hoopla around the album concerns that notion, but I guess that's what happens when your discography looks the way Kanye's does. Ye is synonymous with albums that blow the roof off your head and explosively affect the rap landscape, that shit is fact. Not much anyone can do about that, the pressure is there for a reason. People expect excellence from the G.O.O.D general, the same way you expect to be disappointed when you cop a (recent era) Wayne project, or how you expect to get financially gang-banged by your university in any and all ways they can dream up. (Not bitter).

But there it is; before we dive into this shit, I'm drawing a line in the sand and letting everyone know that I'm firmly in the Yeezy Delivered Again category. Tell that to all hating pussies on Twitter, and all the moronic  clowns currently slitting their wrists on KanyeToThe. They deserve shotgun shots to the face, and this time I mean that as as sexual innuendo. After the jump, a spoiler-ish free evaluation of how the G.O.O.D people fared.

Sir Michael Rocks - "In The Loop" (Video)

Sir Mikey is still pumping out vids from his most recent project, Lap of Lux, and today he unleashes clip number three. I'd write more, but I feel like talking more shizzle to my Packer loving college buddy. Go Bears!

G.O.O.D. Music - Cruel Summer (Commercial)

With the pre-order now available, Kanye and co. drop off the latest teaser for G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer compilation, due out next Tuesday, September 18th.

As most of you already know, the LP recently leaked. Thoughts and analysis coming soon from your favorite Canadian blogger's favorite Canadian blogger, TS. Until then, thoughts on the leak belong in the c-section.

Jimmy Astro - "A King's Prayer" (prod. Jimmy Astro)

While you're at home on your rump, the homie Jimmy stays busy. Despite being hard at work on his and FreddsDEAD forthcoming re-release of VICE, Sir Astro found some extra time to create some solo tracks. Today, he lets us in one of them in his self-produced joint "A King's Prayer." Although there's no word on whether or not this one will find a project to call home, we're thankful for new Jimmy Astro any time we can get it.

Verse of the Day: Nicki Minaj - "Mercy (Remix)"

Is it still Verse of the Day if it's been roughly a fucking age since the last one came out? Questions like these are hurled sullenly through bathroom doors during heated arguments at the KWTemple, and typically garner four-letter replies. However, when the tempers (and the barking dogs) die down, progress is made. Which is to say, it's been awhile, but here's another VOTD!

The verse in question, discussion, and (I promise) zero dick-shaking after the jump.

Believe the Hype: Ice Cold Perm is a Must Download

While you scoured the internet for a Cruel Summer leak, you may have noticed that rap's tastemaking bloggeratti has churned out another "star" du jour, this time in the form of 100s, a 19-year old from the Bay Area. Mysterious background detailed in a press release featuring the word "mysterious"? Check. Questions about the legitimacy of said background already voiced by bloggers everywhere? Check. Sigh. I swear getting blog attention from bloggeratti is like shooting fish in a barrel. Anyways, while I was initially content to dismiss this discovery, as I am a grumpy, curmudgeonly bastard and I find these hipster-hopsters usually offer up amateurish shit glossed up with their expertly parsed descriptive sentences, the dude 100s delivers. Which I guess is a win for the hipsters. Sigh.

Arriving with well-developed talent and a fully-formed persona (that of the latest in a long-line of Bay Area pimps, read: misogyny, badassery, general-not-give-a-fuckery), 100s is an engaging and exciting new presence on the mic. Check out "My Activator" below, the track that's getting the most attention off the project, and his manically sexual, slightly terrifying, completely entertaining video for "Slow Drip". Snoop Lion Dogg is dead, long live 100s.

Mix Appeal: Aaron Gordon

This Blake Griffin-esque beast tore up the competition this summer, and is entering his senior season.

I'll just let the video do the talking now...

Big Sean Hates Trigonometry

In a standout from his recently released mixtape Detroit, Big Sean spits a few preach-heavy verses over a feel-good, piano clad beat known as the J. Cole featured "24 Karats of Gold." While discussing a few things he thinks could make the world a better, more joyful place, G.O.O.D. Music's young don utters the following rhyme...

"Like why don't schools teach more mathematics, less trigonometry and more about taxes"
- Big Sean, "24 Karats of Gold"
Pythagoras of Samos would be so offended. Most will defend the D-Town emcee, claiming trigonometry to be pointless to succeed in life, thus praising his calling out of schools' unnecessary curriculum. But, we all know the real reason behind the bar is Big Sean just could never quite understand Pre-Calculus. My guess? He never learned the SOH-CAH-TOA shortcut that many 11th grade math teachers swear by, which is the same shortcut that I heavily leaned on in my college physics mid-term last Friday. If I ever have the pleasure of meeting the Finally Famous rapper, I'll be sure to drop him some knowledge on trig's super secret shortcut.

The homie Noble comes through with a new joint in the form of his and fellow emcee J$'s group THP's latest release from their forthcoming project Summertime. Wiz Knocks Up Amber, Announces Pregnancy at VMAs

After rumors and questions circulating the possibility of a child on the way, Wiz and Amber took to the MTV VMAs Red Carpet to confirm Amber's pregnancy. The engaged super couple took a page right outta Jay and Beyoncé's book, using MTV as a platform to announce a forthcoming child.

No word yet on how far along she is or the sex of the baby, but follow the active tweeters on the Twitterverse and you're sure to get updates as they are learned.

Uno Hype - "The Kickback" (feat. Smoke DZA)

Bombay Knox's own Uno Hype and frequent collaborator George Kush are at it again, this time coming together to create the light, airy, summertime joint "The Kickback." After Uno's last project, Fxck The Hype, anything the east coast emcee puts out is a guaranteed download for KWT. Let's hope this cut's release is just the beginning to a slew of new songs and an eventual new tape from Hype.

Kanye West - "Clique" (feat. Big Sean & Jay-Z) [prod. Hit-Boy]

G.O.O.D. Music knows they're the hottest out right now, and they let the whole game know with Cruel Summer's latest leak in "Clique." Hit-Boy provides the soundscape as Big Sean, Jigga, and Ye take turns boasting themselves and the G.O.O.D. Family. Although I'm definitely satisfied with the compilation's third single, as the track ends I'm left imagining what Pusha would've done to this beat. Now with three heaters circulating the hip hop society, this Clique has ensured they'll own the airwaves, charts, and underground for a long time to come.

The Boy Illinois - "My Usual" (Video)

Illi keeps things just the way he likes them in his new visual from his 2011 album Inhale, Pt. 4: Horai. The project might be nearing a year in age, but the fact that the Chicago native is still churning out accompanying videos speaks volumes on Horai's quality.

If you're still behind on The Boy Illinois, catch up here, courtesy of KWT.

Kanye West - "Clique" (feat. Big Sean & Jay-Z) [Artwork]

Made In America just owned Philly, Big Sean's Detroit hits the web tomorrow, and Cruel Summer drops in exactly two weeks. Needless to say, this track is about to be huge. To be produced by Hit-Boy (another reason to get excited), "Clique" is expected to be the next single from G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer compilation album.

Thoughts? Do you think this joint will be bigger than "Mercy" and "New God Flow?"

Big Sean - "RWT" (Video)

Maybe it's just because Big Sean's lyrical repertoire is fairly shallow, but I love when something sounds good on the very first listen. I'm eagerly anticipating Detroit.

This tape's about to wash the bad taste of Tha Dedication 4 away, believe that.
