BallIsLife.com: 2012 Summary

Just thought I'd show you basketball fans a cool link that I found. Put together by Ball Is Life, this page shows all of the different things that happened during the last year, including the best mixes, crossovers, inspirational moments, and of course, a TON of dunks. Enjoy.

Baby Juice - "Green Eyes"

The young Georgia homie Baby Juice is currently hard at work on two solo projects, one of which will be home to this GreyDayBeatz produced joint "Green Eyes." That tape, entitled OneAyEm, currently has no release date but can be expected sooner than later. Before said project hits the web, however, expect an untitled project from @bebeJus to surface, which will be co-produced by Jamla Army soldier Kashif. Baby might be under the radar now, but don't take your eyes off the young emcee.

Big K.R.I.T. - "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (Video)

Despite being released more than six months ago, Big K.R.I.T. revisits one of Live From The Underground's more personal tracks, releasing a brand new, heartfelt visual.

A$AP Rocky - "Long Live A$AP"

With Pretty Flacko's long awaited debut album hitting shelves January 15th, Rocky and the gang felt the (failed) Mayan Apocalypse was the perfect day to release the LP's lead single of the same name. Produced by Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, A$AP flows over a  haunting background, adding another trill instant classic to his repertoire.

Pro Era - Peep The Aprocalypse (Mixtape)

Pro Era, the camp that 2012's breakout rapper Joey Bada$$ calls home, is the next crew on cue to explode in the coming year. Featuring production from Statik Selektah, Lee Bannon, Thelonious Martin and brandUn DeShay, Peep The Aprocalypse is not only the camp's introduction, but it's one of the season's best compilation projects. Head down bottom for the tracklist and free download.

The Cool Kids - "Champions" (Video)

Weirdly enough one of my all time favorite tracks from The Cool Kids gets the visual treatment on the day that we found out they will no long be making music as a duo. It's a sad day for hip hop fans. Tracks like this might be hard to come by with the airwaves proudly bumping whatever the new Young Money team has put out.

Iman Shumpert - "Knicks" (Clique Freestyle)

Iman Shumpert joins the sad list of ballers who wanna rap. This one better than most though.

Steve Cantrell - "The Spider Man Theory" (prod. David Luke)

The big homies and Freedom Fighter members Steve Cantrell and David Luke are back at work again, this time for Cantrell's project Thoughts After Second Thoughts, which will be entirely produced by David Luke. While we heard the project's first offering "Double Cups x Doobies" a while back, the young Georgia artists recently came through with the second single entitled "The Spider Man Theory," which KWT has on queue for ya'll today. Expect #TAST to drop January 21st, which will prove to be a perfect way to bring in 2013.

Listen and download the second single below, and as a bonus, we've included the recently shot visual for the aforementioned "Double Cups x Doobies" after the jump.

Casey Veggies - "Sauna" (prod. Chuck Inglish) [Video]

California young'n CV goes in over a funky Chuck beat for an offering to Fool's Gold's compilation album Loosies, which is slated for a December 18th release.

Wale - Folarin (Mixtape) [Trailer]

The DC native continues to get slept on, while getting zero Grammy nominations. 2 Chainz for album of the year. Grammy's have to rigged. Florain dropping on Christmas Eve.

The Boy Illinois - #MOGG (Mixtape)

After his extremely dope Horai mixtape, Chicago's own The Boy Illinois releases his highly anticipated follow-up project entitled The Memoirs of Gilbert Gaston. A story about survival, #MOGG is a free, 13 track mixtape that's on my radar for one of 2012's most underrated freebees. Head below to listen and download Illi's newest.

Wiz Khalifa - ONIFC (Album)

Wizzle Man comes through with his sophomore album, ONIFC. Even after his pledge to stray away from his Rolling Papers sound, the singles we've heard and my perceptions of Young Khalifa have me expecting a very similar sound. I may not be buying, but that's not to say you shouldn't...hit the link underneath.
